Cool Little Dark Comedy

This weird black comedy takes many strange chances, but it ultimately pays off and it is a joy to experience. Renee Zellweger plays the title character, a woman so obsessed with a soap opera actor (Greg Kinnear) that when she witnesses a brutal crime she convinces herself that she actually is his girlfriend and that she works at the fake hospital.
Morgan Freeman and Chris Rock play killers who are searching to find Betty before she implicates them in the crime, but during their journey, Freeman's character becomes more and more infatuated with what he learns of Betty.
Whe Betty finally meets her dream man, he is convinced that she is an actress auditioning for him, not realizing her deluded state until it is too late.
The premise may seem really wild and out there, but Zellweger totally commits and you love her the same way you love her in 'Bridget Jones', because she is so flawed.
Freeman and Rock construct very interesting, conflicting characters and Kinnear is a delight as always.
Worthwhile.
