If Barbie Only Looked that Good

The second movie where Angelina was a blonde (anyone remember the other one? Come on, people... it was a biggie), there really isn't much more to say about her character. Sure, we all know that she met, screwed and married Billy Bob Thorton, but I still don't buy that this hot chick went after Nic Cage, no matter how good of a car thief he was.

Frankly, I do enjoy this movie. It's simple, it has lots of fast car chases which are always a panty-moistener for me, and it features some actors that not everyone is instantly aware of. Timothy Olyphant, anyone? Alright, so I'm on an Olyphant kick today. There's also the great Giovanni Ribisi, Scott Caan and James Duval. Thinking back, I'm not as surprised as I first was that this movie wasn't as big as it should have been. The biggest risk it looks like it took wasn't the car chases and stealing and various other car stuff. It was the taking a chance on the lesser appreciated actors.

Although how else would they have been able to afford all of the special effects and such? Eh, I'm such a sucker. I was going to give this movie 2 1/2 stars but I'm bumping it up to 3 just because I'd forgotten just how many actors I enjoy are in this. There isn't much else to note about it. You'll forget it the second the DVD is out of the machine and there really isn't anything all that quotable from it.

Still... if you're in the mood to be entertained, you couldn't do worse. (Actually, you could. Think of this flick as being the better choice over CON AIR if you were looking for a Cage flick.)
