Movie Review by Steven
August 28th, 2007

Considering it has been a while since I ahve seen this film, I remember when I saw it, I thought, Ridley Scott had done better movies, and also Russell Crowe. I personally think Crowe should have won the Oscar for "The Insider", not "Gladiator"

I know some people comapre this film to Mel Gibson's "Braveheart". "Braveheart" is a much better film by far. I don't really care that this film won Oscars.

What I did like about this film besides the acting was the battle scenes. I thought they were well done, but my problem is that the look and style of the film is dull and too gritty. I don't know if that was maybe the intent.

The film does drag on, and I can see why many people like this movie. I jsut don't. It is too long, too dark and too depressing.
