Movie Review by Jesse
December 16th, 2006

One of My All-Time Favourite Films. It's Brilliant

How often does a movie come along where you get such an all-star cast, perfect screenplay and one of the best directors of today? Not very often. It's underrated, I do believe. Not many people have discovered it yet, which is a shame. The movie consists of over 20 people's lives that are ironically intertwined with each other. Tom Cruise and Julianne Moore give the two best performances in the movie. This was difficult for me to narrow down because out of a cast of over 25 players, they all gave amazing performances. Paul Thomas Anderson is a genius. He wrote this screenplay (which was nominated for an Oscar) and directed this film, as well. He has made some of the most original movies around (Boogie Nights, Punch-Drunk Love) and is becoming one director whose work is being recognized heavily nowadays. This movie shouldn't be missed, for it is one of the best ones out there. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you wonder "why"? But in the end... there is only one word that can sum up this movie. Masterpiece. Go rent it. You will not be disappointed.
