Ah who doesn't love a typical rom-com where you can tell the storyline from the first 20 minutes. Me. THREE TO TANGO is no exception.
Not only did it make me realise anyway that I don't really want to see Matthew Perry outside of Chandler-world and keep Neve Campbell's insanely huge smile off screen. Only seeing her scream works for me.
So Dylan McDermott plays Perry's new boss and is to design a building for him. McDermott's has a peice on the side, enter Campbell. A friendship begins with Perry and Campbell when he is asked to watch over her as a favour to his new boss. This friendship then turns to love on Perry's obsessive part anyway as they think he's gay with his business partner and friend Oliver Platt (the most enjoyable thing about the movie). So he has to play nicey nice while his love thinks he bats for the other team. Then after finding out he's lied to her about thins gay thing to stay close with her the search is on to make it up to her and kiss her in the rain (I call it Hollywood style).
Now Oliver Platt does play the Gay guy brilliantly and his deadpan approach to humour is wonderful. Perry as I said before to me doesn't really belong outside of friends and that one episode of scrubs...also a little part of John C McGinley is to watch out for. The music in the opening credits is catchy but then again with the title of the movie having Tango in it then I would guess it isn't going to be your typical pop song :P.
The story is pretty average, the acting also. But if you're into that sort of film then you probably will enjoy it much more than I did.
