A film to watch alone in the dark...
If you're crazy...
Which I must be as this is my favourite film to watch when I have the house to myself especially when it's dark and stormy outside.
Sometimes it's great to be completely terrified by a film and this does it for me every time. I always find myself on the edge of my seat and later roam around the house making sure all windows and doors are secure (cause that'll keep the ghosts out?!)
Kevin Bacon is compelling as a family man who's driven to the verge of mental breakdown when his grip on reality is challenged by contact with the supernatural. He becomes the unwilling conduit to the violent last memories of a vulnerable young missing girl...
Brilliant performances also from the actors playing his wife and young son as they struggle to cope with his increasingly erratic behaviour.
This is a great thriller with heart stopping moments... everyone should see it.
