Movie Review by Zara
December 6th, 2007

An enduring character if there ever was one, it is Steve Stiffler that will go down in cinematic history. There are character throughout the entire film which are memorable in their own ways, but Seann William Scott created a guy who was so repulsive and yet oddly lovable in his own way, seemingly like so many guys that all of us have gone to school with at some point, coupled with a great last name and a mom who screwed his best friend. Poor Jason Biggs will never escape being called the "pie f*cker" but it is Stiffler who will be a household name, ala Spicoli.

The film was one of the first to attempt making R rated comedies popular again and it succeeded (and later briefly killed) in its endeavor. Because of the R rating, we're able to see Shannon Elizabeth's boob job and hear guys talk in demeaning manners about girls. While we'd like to think that it's bullsh*t and wrong and whatnot... this is sadly the way that teen males talk. (The majority of them.) Doesn't matter if they're whitebred and suburban or otherwise and urban... girls are the center of their intentions.

It's a funny film that endures because it is so universal. And Scott, no matter how revolting he made Stiffler seem, endures in my heart because of his masterful and underrespected grasp of comedy.

Okay...I don't know what happened, but it said I heart Stiffler! ;)
