HE MET THE BEST OF THE WEST
This happy, little, rootin' tootin' Western from 1943 features famous Movie-Cowboy, Hopalong Cassidy (aka WILLIAM BOYD).
As our story of the 'Old West' unfolds -
Hoppy, and his pals, use their reward money (from the capture of notorious bandit, Bob Bronco) to buy half-interest in the impressive Whitlock Ranch.
After Wildcat Kelly cons California Carlson into buying a well-drilling rig, the guys suddenly strike water instead of oil. This discovery threatens greedy 'town-boss' Jebb Hardin's water monopoly and he quickly retaliates by framing Hoppy for cattle rustling.
COLT COMRADES is a brisk-paced, but mediocre Western, featuring another one of my least favorite Movie-Cowboys, Hopalong Cassidy.
