Weird, fun, worth revisiting.
This was the movie that I laughed at when I first saw it. While it should have some creepy things going on in it, considering that it's about a stoner whose hand goes nuts on him after being possessed by an evil spirit and goes on a murdering rampage, I still laughed.
Now, the movie isn't meant to be a complete horror either. It's a cross between the two which works fairly well. It's entertaining enough with comedy to make you laugh and has just enough going for it to keep you wondering how this kid is going to solve his manual problem.
This was the first movie that people remember Jessica Alba in, playing the pretty girl that the evil-handed boy has a crush on and becomes the target of his nefarious hand. There are also performances by Seth Green and Elden Henson as the stoner friends which make the movie infinitely more watchable.
This is also one of those movies that gets better and better with repeated watching. Especially when - what else? - you're stoned.

| Haha...I'm laughing just thinking about this flick...it's mad funny and a hell of a lot cooler than you'd think by watching the previews. I thought it was gonna be one of those rediculously stupid trying to make you laugh kind of flicks, but it turned out to be pretty watchable. |
