High Art (1998)

Great
This gorgeous film about a heterosexual woman (Radha Mitchell) who becomes attracted to her neighbour, a lesbian photographer (Ally Sheedy) is an obvious inspiration for 'The L Word', but also one of the best homosexual films I have ever seen.
The sexual tension between Mitchell and Sheedy never makes this film false, and Patricia Clarkson's small role as Sheedy's German ex-girlfriend is brilliant.
A romantic, sexual and moving film that is a must-see.
