Movie Review by Christopher Thomas
August 29th, 2007

"Something are true..."

People tend to either love or hate this film...the reason for this is not the film, but the studio. Not knowing what to do with a film that explored humanity from a spiritual context...the studio went with a romanatic pitch. And such there is a romance here, but this film is far more then Maggie and Seth's relationship. It is how love crosses the cosmic divide to carry us to new places that only love can bring us.
For Maggie, Seth brings her a piece of the great love from beyond and therefore she is able to love so greatly that she can pass with that love intact. Seth, is so loved by Maggie, that he is able to chose life and love it even after his reason is gone. Ironically, this is a real life theme that happened while the film was in production. This is a film that you need to watch the commentary and see this film with new eyes.

Although I think this is a chick flick I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Cage is awesome and even Meg Ryan did not annoy me as much as usual.
