Movie Review by Teflon Don
June 4th, 2007

this aint no Aladdin

Tony Todd, Robert Englund and Kane Hodder all in one movie.....I thought it would be perfect. For those of you non-horror fans that is the actors that played Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees and The Candyman. When I saw this film in the theatres I walked out because I thought it was the lamest film I had ever seen. Years later I watched it again and I liked it better but it still lacks in several areas. A djinn? A genie? who know and who cares? He just was not scary. Too much humor was put into the film.....with the suppose to be quirky ways that the djinn killed his victims.
The plot is rather stupid when you sit and think about it......3 wishes but not good wishes......an evil genie??? come on....What the real mystery is, is that not one, not two but THREE EVEN WORSE films were made that follow this series.....They did have some catchy titles thought like "Beyond the Gates of Hell" and "The Prophecy Fulfilled."
I must admit that I have watched part 2 and 3 and they sucked as well, I will never force myself to watch part 4 no matter how desperate I get.

I agree with you on this one......I thought it was bad the first time I saw it.......I did like it the next time around. I never got the pleasure to see the sequels and I am very thankful for that.

I liked this one a lot. Andrew Divoff vamps really well, and it was gory as all get out.

I think it's interesting that Bob Kurtzman doesn't have a clickable link here. Does anyone know who Bob is? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

He was the K in KNB. I don't have to tell anyone who KNB are, do I?

*sigh*
