Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie
March 26th, 2007

A Great Flick

Jim Carrey's best movie tells the tale of Truman, a man who has unknowingly lived his entire life in front of the world as part of a Machiavellian TV experience created by Ed Harris' 'visionary' director.

This film shows us our own obsession with the false world we see on TV screens and in tabloids, a world we pretend to own with a cast of characters we pretend to know, but we really know nothing about them.

As Truman begins to realize the truth we are forced to look at ourselves and in how many ways our 'decisions' are calculated by a capitalist world that refuses to let us think for ourselves.

This movie does what only the best are able to: makes us reconsider...everything.
