What a genius film this. So fresh and original. So captivating. "The Truman Show" does in some way make you think if your life is a TV show. Filled with great and memorable performances, a clever well written screenplay, and great direction from Peter Weir, "The Truman Show" is an incredible movie experience. Jim Carrey plays Truman Banks, a mild mannered man living his life like anyone normally would until he soons discovers that things really are not right. Things are more or less commercialized and rehearsed. His wife, Meryl, played by Laura Linney begins to scare him and question what is really happening. In the meantime, we see Castoff (Ed Harris) who is the creator and producer of the show. We see how tricks are played on Truman and eventually how he returns the favor. Definitely not a film to be ignored.
