Midler and Farina Fight

It is great fun to see Bette Midler and Dennis Farina spar with one another, however that is about the only joy in this predictable and rather one note movie about adultery.

Midler and Farina play a divorced couple who re-spark at their daughter's wedding and take off to try and see what is really going on between them. They are funny and delightful.

The rest of the film centres around their daughter (Paula Marshall) and her new husband ('Desperate Housewives' star James Denton) and their floundering new marriage. Denton's character is flat and lame, he is not given much to work with, while Marshall tries to give some life to her boring new wife, but not until the end do we see her have any fun with it.

The movie is entertaining, but not great by any means.
