Movie Review by Zara
March 14th, 2007

It's aiiight.

This was a very popular movie at the time that it was released. There are people who remember it mainly for the fact that Ben and Matt won their writing Oscars for it as well as it being the movie that finally delivered Oscar gold to Robin Williams.

But other than that, how many people really remember what this movie was about?

Sure, you can remember that it was about a janitor who was really good at math. Sure, you can remember that hideous accent of Ben's. You might even remember how Matt dated Minnie during the filming and then broke up with her on Oprah without here realizing that was what he was going to do.

I don't like it when movies get a reputation that preceeds them. People start to believe that it's better than it really was just because there was so much promotion and hype behind it and the power of that lingers behind.

I challenge everyone who watches a movie and years later tells everyone how great it was to go back and watch it again if the last time you watched it was the first time you watched it. You might find yourself being very surprised.
