Movie Review by Jenny
February 13th, 2007

Being one of my favorite guilty pleasures, I felt like I was obligated to review this one.

Brendan Fraser takes on the role of George, doing a similar turn as the one he took in "Encino Man". Let's face it, the man isn't the greatest actor. However, he takes the role of George, butt-flap and all, and makes it his own.

There are so many things about this movie that I love. Probably the thing I love the most is the narrator. The corny jokes make me laugh every time. For example:

"Meanwhile, at a very expensive waterfall set..."
"Don't worry. Nobody dies in this story. They just get really big boo-boos."
"Bad guy falls in poop: Classic element of physical comedy. Now comes the part where we throw our heads back and laugh. Ready?"

This movie is a guaranteed laugh. It doesn't matter how many times I've seen it, I laugh every time.

The rest of the cast is a lot of fun as well. Leslie Mann, Thomas Hayden Church, and the voice of John Cleese as the ape named Ape.

This is definately one to watch.

Totally agree...I barely rememeber the storyline but I'll never forget Fraser in a loin cloth.

The storyline is so stupidly funny, it's worth watching again.
