Too bad we didn't get to actually see it
A bunch of unemployed men in England get an idea to put on a Chippendale's type show but with the main catch being that they intend to go all the way, or "The Full Monty," referring to taking off their knickers as well.
This movie is jam-packed with some fantastic music and showcases both Robert Carlyle and Mark Addy at their best. Carlyle doesn't want to look like a loser deadbeat father in the eyes of his son who encourages him to do the dance. He is sweet and sincere where most of his other roles he is coarse or violent. It's a great change of pace.
Mark Addy as his portly pal who has image issues was my favorite part. The scene in which he finally breaks down and explains to his wife what he's doing and then says that he didn't think anyone else would want to see him nude is f*cking classic.
All around a great comedy.

| I love this film. I watched while spending the summer in America and I had to keep translating English slang for the group I was with. |
