Creepy man...just creepy.

Favorite Movie Quote: "[Purging his air tank for propulsion to get him back to Event Horizon] I'm back Mother f*cker!"

Let me just start by saying that this movie freaked me out. It was great.

Space exploration has always been a big deal. Ever since the first man walked on the moon we've been exploring space and trying to make better ships to take us there. Imagine if someone made a ship that could bend or tear the time/space continuum and 'leap' from place to place through 'portals' that lead to other dimensions. This is what one doctor, Dr. Weir did several years ago. A crew loaded up their things on Dr. Weir's masterpiece, the Event Horizon, and took off into space to travel faster than light, but the mission failed and the crew was never heard from again.

We lose people, ships, and satellites all the time in space so life went on. Now, suddenly, there's a distress signal coming from the Event Horizon and Captain Miller and his crew are given a mission to check for survivors and salvage the ship if it's possible. After 7 years there's little hope of finding survivors, but something is making a signal from the ship, so we don't know what we'll find once aboard the Event Horizon.

From the moment they set foot on the abandoned ship things start getting creepy to me. Maybe it's the music or the mood that's set...or maybe it's the display of blood in some areas and the creepy Dr. Weir that got to me.

I liked this flick. If you want something that's almost feasible enough to make you think it could happen, this one will do it. I think something like this could happen in real life...and that makes it all the more freaky. What happens on the ship would have me running the other direction...and leaving the mad Dr. Weir with his crazy ship.

If you haven't seen this 1997 sci-fi horror flick, it's about time you gave it a look-see. It's a trip and Sam Neill is perfect as the demented doc.

I said it on the board but ill say it again...this movie freaked me the sh*t out when I first saw it. I was probably 19 or 20 but even then I felt like a little kid watching Freddy Krueger for the first time....

Hell yeah! It freaked me out too. That's how you know it's a good one...if it really creeps you out. :)
