but what are we going to do Charles?
This was marketed as a killer bear movie. When it is more about social class, survival, competitiveness, and coming to terms with your life. Ok, so it is about a giant Kodiak bear that is only interested in killing humans.
After Charles [Anthony Hopkins] and Bob [Alec Baldwin] are stranded in the Alaskan wilderness they team up to try and make it back to civilization. On their life changing journey they become very good friends. By the end of the movie their friendship is put to the test numerous times to say the least.
This is a very good movie that lures you in with it's beautiful scenery and strong acting. It has plenty of drama, action, and gore as well.
Final Verdict: If you're squeamish you should watch the edited version on TNT.
