Return of the King
This movie shows why Michael Mann's "Ali" was such a failure. With all due respect to Will Smith, there is only one Muhammad Ali. This documentary shows the real deal- the most controversial and charasmatic sportsman of all time during his glory years. Say what you will about Ali's political views, but you can't deny that he was entertaining as hell. Here you see Ali mugging for the cameras with everything from an impromptu dental hygene commercial to his impression of Chinese folk music. The whole thing is built around Ali's 1974 boxing match in Zaire, Africa against the then-indistructable George Foreman. Cameos along the way are provided by such late greats as James Brown and George Plimpton. This is up there with Hoop Dreams and Rocky as one of the greatest sports films of all time.

| This was an amazing documentary about an amazing man......although I disagree with you about the Michael Mann film, I though Will Smith did a stunning job as Ali. |
