Movie Review by Zara

Weird little movie

This is one of Tim Burton's underrated and mostly forgotten movies, funny considering just how many actors are in this. Burton was going for an ironic twist on being invaded by aliens, releasing this after INDEPENDENCE DAY had made such a big splash and the American public embraced the notion of killing bad aliens.

So he went the route of people thinking that the aliens were going to be cool. And then made them evil. Weird, chattering gooey looking creatures who seem as stupid as most Conservative Republicans.

The part I love most in this movie is how they kill the aliens. Oh, and Pam Grier. If you don't love Pam Grier, I doubt you have a soul.

Oh, and David Spade getting seduced by the Lisa Marie looking alien. Great stuff. Really great stuff. Weird, bizarre and just offbeat. Fun, fun fun fun.

When I first saw this movie I think I was around 14 and I didn't pay attention to how many actors/actress' are actually in it...weird when I'm looking at the list of stars that I can't recall all of them. I'll have to give this mock Independence Day another look.
