Movie Review by Megan

A visual delight.

This film is a visual treat. The locations are breath taking and really capture the time of when it was set. Color abounds through costumes and sets really making it a pleasure to watch. I also think it deserves credit for bringing Indian themed movies to the Western audience.

The acting was average and nobody was at risk of getting nominated for an award. The dialogue at time was cliche and you were able to finish the line before they were. Which is a shame because they plot was great, they had an excellent story line in place but it fell apart somewhere along the line.

It had some rather emotional scenes and some viewers may be disturbed by one of the last shots.

One thing I would like to add is this movie had one of the most attractive casts that I have seen in a long time. The nudity was done in such a tasteful way that you almost didn't even notice it. And for once nudity was used only when required and not to sell the film.

Also the launching ground of bringing some Indian actors to English film and introducing Naveen Andrews to a wide release North American audience.

Not for under 18s.

I would be hesitant to rent anything with this title simply because I know some of the extreme time frames that the KS puts you through and I would associate that with being slow in the movie pace.

Call me a simple girl, I prefer straight porn.
