A Gilded Cage
Republicans and Gays...a tale of two families. A girl from a straight-laced, republican family, meets a "straight"-laced young man from a questionable family of "performers"....aka...drag queens who own a night club called "The Birdcage" in Miami. The two familes collide when the young love-birds decide to get married. So freaking funny!! First of all, seeing Robin Williams as a gay man seems more than fitting considering his flamboyant comedic ways. Nathan Lane almost steals the show literally, playing his "partner" Al....a drag queen and star of the night club "Starina". Hank Azaria will make you roll on the floor with laughter as their house boy Agador(sp?). For those of you who just love a laugh...this movie is for you.

| I just happened to post this today also. I am glad I am not the only one who thinks it is so funny I fell on the floor laughing. I haven't done that since the first time I saw Young Frankenstein. |

| Hank Azaria was my favorite part of this movie and then later Calista Flockhart became a delicious little joke because I saw this before she was Ally McBeal. (I actually liked that show.) |
