Awwww puppies...

Behold the remade film version of the 1969 Disney classic that is 101 Dalmatians. I watched the animated version dozens of times as a child I was a total Disney junkie. So when this hit theatres I grabbed one of my young cousins (so as not to damage my rep)
and headed off to watch it.

I must say I wasn't a fan of the movie myself Jeff Daniels didn't really work for me in this but I'm sure if I were 10 years younger I would have loved it....the puppies are cute, and Glen Close was great as Cruella DeVil but that's about it.

If you are unfamiliar with this tale (I'd be shocked) I'll quickly clue you in; Roger Perry, computer game designer and his Dalmatian Pongo, hook up with Anita, fashion designer and her Dalmatian Perdy. They fall in love, their dogs get jiggy wid it and Perdy squeezes out 101 pups. Anita's boss Cruella DeVil wants to make a fur coats out of the pups and sets about kidnapping them.

Your kids will like this movie, I guess I'm a lil long in the tooth for Disney.

I must admit I was a bit of a Disney junky myself...*whispers* I still am...hehe.

I hate to correct you, but I think Pongo and Perdy had a smaller litter, but when all the puppies escaped from Cruella's there were several more that Cruella's hinchmen had stollen, but they kept all of them after that....

I might be wrong, because it's been a while since I've seen this flick or the cartoon version...so if I am...I'm terribly sorry.

I didn't dig Jeff Daniels either. :)

your probably right I always get this movie all mixed up...I watched the cartoon version too much as a kid, either that or I destroyed way too many brains cells back in college.
