Do you have your ID with you?
Because this was an NC-17 movie, I distinctly remember having to produce my ID in order to be able to buy a ticket to it. Hyped up for months as being some fantabulous outing, I was interested to see what all the fuss was about.
It's a bad movie. It has lame dialogue, acting on the caliber level of a soap opera star and just plain cheesiness all around. However, it's also like a trainwreck that you just can't look away from.
Why? Because people are nekkid in it. It was fun to be able to see someone instruct Jesse Spano from Saved By the Bell to ice down her nipples. It was funny to see her thrashing about, licking a stage pole and generally looking like a crack hooker on the run from the law.
But flat out what saves this movie from being a complete waste of time is Gina Gershon. She eats up the scenery, showcasing that she might be the only one involved in the production who understands the movie for what it is: a joke. It is in the way that she drawls "Darlin'..." that wins your heart.
The only thing that I need to bring up is that for those of you who can't tolerate brutal rape scenes, I'd steer clear. It's not worth it to tolerate the rest of the movie if you can't stomach that.

| I liked showgirls and I own the $30.00 box set with the shot glass and nipple tassles. What nobody gave Elizabeth Berkley credit for was how well she danced in the movie, yes the plot was weak but her performance was not bad.......light years better then the "Im so excited" messed up on pills, days of Saved by the Bell. |
