C+
I rented it because I didn't want to watch it on tv and see the edited version. Now I wish I hadn't bothered. I thought it was pretty slow..but I don't dislike it because of that reason. I understand that's how cases are solved..it takes time. But, I didn't think the characters were developed very well. They seemed pushed together at a quick pace. And, It didn't show much of the wife and then....well you know. I didn't like the ending at all either. It sucked. The part where Pitt, Freeman and Spacey are in the car together riding down the road was I think the best part ( the chase was good too ) with Spacey talking to Pitt like did. The graphics of the killings were good of the ones they showed..I guess that made the film OK in my mind because I do like gore.
*** That was my first viewing. Now that I've seen it once more I think this film is really interesting, the idea for the film is cool! ***

| I don't think you can improve on that ending. |

| The ending was landmark at the time....Also I was young when this film came out, 15 years old......Now it blows my mind that I recognize Kevin Spacey as the killer. Morgan Freeman just does not do many bad movies. I thought the gore was great. |
