Seth Gecko and his younger brother Richard are on the lam after a bloody bank robbery in Texas. They escape across the border into Mexico and will be home-free the next morning, when they pay off the local kingpin. They just have to survive 'from dusk till dawn' at the rendezvous point, which turns out to be a Hell of a strip joint.
From Dusk Till Dawn, directed by Robert Rodriquez and written by Quentin Tarantino, is brutal and violent. Director Robert Rodriquez is the same man who brough is fillms like Once Upon A Time in Mexico and Planet Terror, where he also worked with Tarantino on with the complete Grindhouse film. When you combine Tarantino and Rodriquez and throw George Clooney into the mix, we never know what to expect. The beginning of Dusk, begins when we see both Seth and Richard Gecko holding up a little gas station/convnience store. We instantly see that Seth, played by George Clooney, is the older and better brother of the two. The film introduces us with a little shootout and such followed by an amazing explosion scene.
George Clooney and writer/actor Quentin Tarantino play two brothers, but Seth is the smarter and rogher of the two. Seth takes control of every situation and must be in control. As his brother Richard, he is a little bit creepy and probably actually scarier then most of the vampires in the movie. He has a thing when it comes to woman where he instantly has a sexual nature when it comes to the women. He rapes and murders an older woman which we briefly get introduced to and gets sexual thoughts about a younger girl he ends up meeting. Quentin Tarantino can actually act, as he puts everything in proprtion when it comes to his character. George Clooney has some badass tattoos and everything he does makes him a pure badass.
Robert Rodrizuez is the man behind From Dusk Till Dawn. Now since we put both Tarantino and Rodriquez together, we cant really expect what is going to happen and things get messy. When we finally see this bar, the Titty Twiser, we get naked woman everywhere and after a little fight between the owner of the bar and Richard, the vampires come out. Now these action and horror scenes become very bloody and out of control. We get body parts everywhere, very random scenes of extreme violence and gore, and some death scenes which were disgusted by and both laugh at. There is a scene where we get the torso of a man with guitar strings on him and a man was playing a guitar solo on him.
From Dusk Till Dawn is a film we cant take serious, but it never fails to entertain. Its bloody, violent and funny, so check this movie out.
