Hackman + Washington = WOW

Favorite Movie Quote: "Some of the things they do, uh, defy belief. Their training program is simplicity itself. You just stick a cattle prod up their ass and you can get a horse to deal cards."

You ever watch films that you know you saw a long time ago and then realize that someone really famous is in the film that was not that famous when it came out. Try Viggo Mortensen and James Gandolfini for Crimson Tide.

This is a very powerful film carried by two of my favorites being Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington. I have probably watched this film three times in the past month because its been on cable. I have really started to get attached to it.

The film was directed by Tony Scott which if you know me at all know that I'm a big Tony Scott fan since he directed True Romance (one of my favorites of all time.) James Gandolfini was also in True Romance which I always think its cool when an actor seems to be a favorite of the director.

Then you have the dumbest actor to ever be born being Lillo Brancato....who anytime I see in a film I think "God how dumb can you be." If your not familiar with him he was Robert DeNiro's son in A Bronx Tale... and had a decent acting career until he and a friend killed a cop during a robbery and went to prison.

Several other familiar faces that I'm not going to talk about but the scenes and dialogue between Hackman and Washington will keep you on the edge of your seat.... Hackman is like Morgan Freeman to me... I just want them both to make a few more GREAT films before they die.
