Movie Review by Megan
February 4th, 2007

a great guy's film

If it is your guy's turn to pick the movie this is a good one to sit through ladies.

Ron Howard shows us that Opie is all grown up and quite talented in Apollo 13.

The story is a good solid story line of guys sticking together, working hard to overcoming an obstacle and becoming heros in the end.

Thought Tom Hanks had fallen out of favor with me before this movie it did manage to place him back onto my viewing list. Which once I blackball you isn't easy. His acting was solid and not too much "Do this one for the Gipper."

The FX were great and worth the watch is the filming of the movie if it is included on the DVD. These guys all wnet though a lot physically to make sure the movie looked and felt real.

The sets and costumes were great. I love it when they have someone with such attention for detail to make sure everything is period.

Kevin Bacon was my favorite in this, surprisingly enough. And for once I actually hated Bill Paxton. Normally I liked everything he did up until this flick.
