too close for comfort
I've just returned from the comfortable womb which is the Behavioral Science Unit and Rehab in a hospital for one month. Re-watched this movie there. Total tear jerker and has incredible impact on an alcoholic or recovering alcholic/addict, especially one with kids. This movie reminds me why I like Meg Ryan ---- she isn't afraid to break through her typecasting if she feels it is right for her. I thought she gave a spectacular perfmance, as did Andy Garcia as the frustrated, overwhelmed husband to an alcoholic. A must see for people thinking of cleaning up their act, or currently working towards that.
