I'll take Jason Scott Lee over a singin' bear

Yep you wont find any a singing bear or a talking tiger anywhere in this Disney movie...but don't worry it's a fair trade they brought in the spankingly hot Jason Scott Lee and dressed him up in a loin cloth (thank you Mr. Disney).

Loosely based on Kipling's second book Lee plays Mowgli the young son of a tracker. His father brought him along when he was leading a hunting trip, but when a tiger that attacks the hunting party kills Mowgli's father he wanders into the jungle and is lost in the confusion. You know the next part he's raised by wolves and make friends with a bear and panther only difference is they don't sing in this movie. Years later Mowgli is all growed up (and the jungle done that boy good) and he catches the eye of Kitty (Leana Headey) whose father is a Colonel in the British army stationed in India. Mowgli follows Kitty back out of the jungle and back to a world he hadn't seen since a child. Kitty takes Mowgli under her wing and with the help of the family doctor they civilize the jungle boy...Kitty's fiancé Captain William Boone (Carey Elwes) a ponsey Englishman (obviously not a northerner) doesn't like all the time she spends with Mowgli (...can you blame him) and when he finds out that Mowgli knows the location of hidden treasure he kidnaps him in order to claim the treasure for himself....that scoundrel.

I always got the feeling that Disney expected this movie to be bigger than it actually was. However I really liked this movie because it reminded me of the 1942 version that my Grandma used to make me watch, except this was way better, and Jason Scott Lee.... mmm he did his job, I love Carey Elwes as a bad guy he should do it more often, and Lena Headey didn't do too bad for her first big screen role either... its worth a watch.
