This movie was my introduction to film from Down Under and boy am I thankful it was.
We decided to go see it for one reason and one reason only..ABBA! As the story unfolds I have never laughed as hard as I did watching this. I thought Toni Collete was brilliant and I couldn't imagine Muriel being played by anyone else but her.
Chubby girl girl makes good and gets a life would sum it up in one line. But the movie is so much more than that. It is about finding yourself when everyone else is telling you who you are.
Watch this. It is a must see. And if you like it, watch Strictly Ballroom. Another great Ozzie film.
