Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie
March 9th, 2007

Vampires Are Sexy

I love a good vampire story and this is one of the most believable I have ever seen on screen. Brad Pitt is at his hotness peak, totally stealing the movie from crazed Lestat (Tom Cruise). Kirsten Dunst makes one of the most memorable child actress debuts of the 90's as a woman trapped in the eternal body of a child.
Yes there are some cheesy parts that come from casting Cruise, but overall the movie is about more than Lestat, it is about all those he has affected in his wake.
This movie is darkly sensual in a way only Neil Jordan can construct and historical in true Anne Rice fashion.
It is homoerotic, hypersexual and gripping, as every great vampire tale should be.
One of my favorites.
