Cowboy Way YEE HAWW
Cowboy way starts off as Sonny Gilstrap (Kiefer Sutherland) and Pepper Lewis (Woody Harrelson) are real life cowboys in New Mexico that earn their living winning prize money in rodeos. They are your definition "Country Boys" that have never seen a big city. One of their friends Nacho, has paid a people smuggler to bring in his daughter from Cuba. When she arrives in America the smuggler rips him off and ask for double the money to get his daughter. Nacho takes off to New York City leaving behind a note to his friends.
Sonny still has a grudge against Pepper for ruining his chances of a big prize payout at last years national rodeo competition so he says that he is going alone to New York to look for him, Pepper finally talks him into letting him go with him because Nacho is his friend as well and he wants to help. From there the movie takes off more into a comedy as the two bunkins come to The Big Apple in search of Nacho and his daughter Theresa.
I found this movie somewhat entertaining. The plot is really simple, its your typical kidnapping story where two friends, a serious one and a comic relief set out to find the victims. Woody Harrelson and Kiefer Sutherland do not give bad performances but I surely do not think they are memorable at all. Dylan McDermott is the bad guy which is really hard to believe because one I do not care for him at all and two Im just not scared of him. Ernie Hudson plays a cop helping the cowboys in New York and it was nice to see him in something besides Ghostbusters. So basically I caught this on cable and watched it and Im very happy that I did not pay to see it but I do not feel as though I wasted my time.

| All I remember about this flick was Woody, his woody and that hat. The rest completely escapes me. Gee... I don't have to guess hard to figure out why. |
