Movie Review by Tim
October 31st, 2007

3 hours never went by so quick.

Favorite Movie Quotes from : Short Cuts

Sherri Shepard: Wouldn't it be a trip if Alex Trebek bought a nude painting of me?

This film runs over 3 hours long and it still leaves you wanting more. Each character is developed so brilliantly that its hard to make a decision which one you like better. The writer......no other word but brilliant comes to mind.

The cast is just fantastic. The late Chris Penn, Robert Downey Jr., Jack Lemmon, Fred Ward, Jennifer Jason Leigh...just to name a few........this film is filmed with some of the best character actors of our time.

The film follows 22 characters in Los Angeles all with different aspects of life going on at the same time. The audience gets to see plenty of drama and sex which works great for me. You feel when watching this almost as if its a long soap opera and I don't mean like The Days of our Lives or Dynasty type....more like the Beverly Hills 90210 or Melrose Place type. Unlike a film like Crash the characters that are followed do not intertwine with each other but it simply skips around from person to person telling you several stories at once.

I watched Spider-man 3 and could not wait for it to end and then I watched this film and did not want it to be over ever.

I wonder how many people you would go through at a local mall before you found one that knew who Robert Altman was. Short Cuts, along with The Player, are probably my favorites.

Talk about mega-dreary!!! I watched this sh*t for 15 minutes and it seemed like 15 hours. Then I thankfully fell asleep. But the cr*ppy thing was still going when I woke up,so I gave it another 5 and that was, without a doubt, the worst torture I've ever had to endure since the time when I had bleeding hemorrhoids. I mean, who gives a f*ck about these people and their pathetic lives. They should all be vaporized,or something!!

Its funny how you wrote more in a comment section then in the ONE pathetic review that you placed on the site.

Dah-ling!!! In your dreary, little profile you claim to be impossible to offend. How sweet. But,judging by your above comment, you certainly seem to be trying with all your might to be as offensive as possible just 'cause you don't approve of my review. Does this have something to do with your moronic dream about being in a big-budget movie some day!!?? Ha!

Approving has nothing to do with the fact that your reviews suck ass.....Why bother to even write bullsh*t like that? I'm not trying to be "offensive as possible" I am very simply letting you know that its a waste of everyone's time on the site to click on what they believe to be a legitimate review and then to find ramblings of a f*cking idiot. "BillyBob" You must be sweet on me to be reading my profile....I bet you copied my pictures also so that you have some good whacking material later...

Honestly, this struck me as the kind of movie that would drive you insane. It's interesting to see that you liked it.

Was it just for Moore's bush shot? Come on.... be honest.
