Movie Review by B Movie Ben
August 20th, 2007

I'm Victor. I'm the cleaner.

Bob (Gabriel Byrne): How are you?
Maggie (Bridget Fonda): I just blew up a hotel. How the hell do you think I am?

If you want a female assassin, then get Geena Davis. She really showed how to do it in The Long Kiss Goodnight. Despite the great acting displayed by Bridget Fonda, this wasn't even close. If you want to see the best of Bridget Fonda, then see Jackie Brown.

I haven't seen Luc Besson's La Femme Nikita, so I won't make a comparison. I know Besson from Danny the Dog, and he is great. His story was not done any justice here by John Badham.

Like I said, Fonda was great. I like her in Kiss of the Dragon, and she did well here. She just didn't have a lot to work with.

Gabriel Byrne seemed a little flat. I just couldn't imagine him in love with Fonda. He just didn't show the emotion.

I got a kick out of Harvey Keitel being used for the same job he did in Pulp Fiction, although he had a much meatier part there.

Check it out if you've nothing else to do.

Here is some interesting information for this film........My dad had HBO when I was a kid, and I saw a film one night on HBO and forgot about it. About a year and a half later I went to the movie theatre to see Point of No Return and about 30 minutes into it I realized that I had already seen it. The problem was that I was there opening night. It turns out HBO showed this movie on tv before it was released in the theatres. Then to top it off I bought La Femme Nikita after hearing a bunch of hype about it. La Femme Nikita is the exact same movie just with different actors.
