What the hell happened to Omri Katz?
This is THE Halloween movie in my opinion. While it's lightweight comedy with silly characters, I love the spirit that it embodies. I know that there are people who consider Halloween to be about as much blood, gore and macabre as possible, but for me it's more about kids getting to dress up and pretend to be different for a night.
Watching the lead actresses, I get the feeling that that's what they thought as well. Bette Midler as the most hardcore witch sister is in great form, but Sarah Jessica Parker as the trampy witch is my favorite of all. The way she giggles and coos, breaking the stereotype of previous notions of what a witch should be is delightful fun to watch.
And hey, any movie where brother and sister Gerry and Penny Marshall play husband and wife and Gerry Marshall is mistaken for being the devil is a movie that automatically is cool in my book.

My kid sister used to watch this flick on a daily basis as much as I liked it lots the first few times it drove my nuts after a while.
And where the hell did Omri Katz go he just dropped of the map....shame. |

| Haha...I tell you I didn't pay attention to actors/actress' much, because I didn't even realize they were brother and sister...oops! I really love this movie too, and as much as I love the bloody gorey part of Halloween it does come back to the kids and the fun of dressing up. Kudos to you for recognizing that! :) |
