Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie
April 3rd, 2007

Pretty Good for an SNL Movie

A pretty funny and totally weird big screen adaptation of the SNL sketch about a family of aliens living on earth who somehow etch out a normal existence despite having heads shaped like cones.

Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtain are good as ever as the head of the cone family. Chris Farley is awesome as always as the boyfriend of their daughter.

Also notable are turns by other SNL alums David Spade and Phil Hartman. Hartman was one of the funniest men who ever lived. His death was far too soon.

This film works somewhat because unlike many other SNL sketch-movies, it has a plot and likeable characters. It does eventually become a bit much, but it is a fun little movie that lives up to the original sketch.
