Get in the Habit!

Favorite Movie Quote: "People like going to theaters and they like going to casinos but they don't like coming to church. Why? Because it's a drag."

This is one of my favorite movies. It's not surprising considering I love to sing.

Messing with married men is always risky business, but messing with the mob is worse. Dolores happens upon a murder and is on the run from her boyfriend. He cops want to bust this guy real bad, but have to keep her safe, because she's the only witness they have against him. But where do you hide a headliner running from the mob? The last place someone would think to look for her...in a convent!

Now, we all know that sending someone to a convent as a sort of witness protection program is kind of unorthodox, but I think it's just what the church, as well as Dolores, needed.

Working in lounges isn't exactly going to make it easy to fit in with the nuns which makes for some hilarious moments and when the Mother Superior puts her to 'find her calling' through the choir she's in for a big surprise.

Whoopi takes the boring church choir, gets them all in tune, and then rocks the roof off the church. Hearing such awesome music takes the youth from the streets to the pews and packs the church (something they haven't seen in a long time).

This flick is a fun, musical, comedy that will have you tapping your foot or shakin' your butt. And if it doesn't, well...you're a fuddy duddy. Get with it man!
