Movie Review by Ryan Midnight
December 15th, 2007

Hard-Boiled Plot: California valley girl Buffy learns she is the latest resurrected vampire slayer and must once again fight against the immortal Lothos and his growing legion of teen vampires. But with cheerleading practice and the upcoming school dance, where will she find the time to train?

Essentials: Joss Whedon's theatrical screenplay debut, plenty of corny dialogue, and a mind-boggling cast including Donald Sutherland, Rutger Hauer, Paul Reubens in one of his first post-Pee Wee roles, David Arquette, a young Hilary Swank as an airhead friend of Buffy's, and Luke f*ckin' Perry.

The Verdict? Ninety minutes of ridiculousness, which is over far far to quick, is still better than seven seasons of the television show (I don't care what my mom says!). Do yourself a favor and revisit this one.
