Movie Review by Misty
February 2nd, 2007

Don't drop dead, Fred!

I loved this movie when I was little. I watched it again about a year ago and it was still funny, but didn't have the same appeal to me as an adult as it did when I was a child. I imagine it's because Fred is so childish in his antics (smearing poo on Lizzie's mom's carpet, picking his nose, etc.). It appeals more to children, because they think that kind of chaos is hilarious. As an adult you laugh, but you know it would be extremely annoying were it happening to you.

I do recommend seeing it, regardless of your age. You have to see it at least once, because despite his childish humor in this film, Rik Mayall is a brilliant comedy actor. So, go to archives of the comedy section in your local video store and give Fred a chance!

You know, I loved this film. Perhaps because I had my own imaginary friends when I was growing up. I think it was totally overlooked when it was released.

I absolutely loved this!! I thought it was hilarious, even as an adult. Suuuure, I wouldn't want somebody doing that to me NOW but if you put yourself in the perspective of when you were a kid it was so great!

And Ashley Peldon was just so stinkin cute. Who could resist her?
