Amazing!
Terminator 2 is a classic in terms of the action movie genre. With Arnolds breathtaking performance, to the huge special effects and all of the eye popping action scenes, the film dominates my number 2 spot in my 100 greatest movies I have ever seen list. Terminator 2 changed the way we look at movies, mainly because at the time of release, these CGI effects were fairly new, and were spectacular because of the technology at the time. Director James Cameron only thought he was going to make a big film, instead he created a classic, and every action directors dream film.
Hes back, The Terminator. Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) is currently being held in a mental ward, mainly becase of the events in the first movie. Her son, John Connor (Edward Furlong), is now living with two foster parents until his mom is released. The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) tries to find John at first, not finding him, then meets up with him at the mall. But hes not the only machine there, The T1000 attempts to kill hima nd John, but they escape. Now, Terminator must protect John, in an effort to save the world.
I was actually deeply amazed by Arnolds acting in this movie. At times, its funny, at times, its scary, but all the time, it was classic. This movie would not be what it is without him. Robert Patrick played an amazing job as the T1000. Even though theres not much in terms of dialogue, his moves and facial expressions for the character are just perfect. Edward Furlong was very young while playing in this role, but man he does great. His voice gets annoying though. Linda Hamilton is just perfect as Sarah, I deeply loved her performance.
There were moments of action in this movie which I seriously judged as fake. (Well, the motorcycle and big rig jumping off the bridge and continue driving). This movie isnt really that violent, in terms of visible blood. Because of the time, blood wasnt really allowed to be shown in films. I saw the movie on the Extreme edition, which has about 16 more minutes of footage, so I really dont know what scenes were newly added or which were originally in the film.
Bottom Line: A classic!
