My Girl (1991)

Classic
One of the best films about childhood ever made.
Veda lives in a funeral home with her single father and lives out her over-active imagination with her best friend (Macaulay Culkin).
This film touched an entire generation with its brutal honesty and tragedy. Most of the impact is due to Anna Chlumsky's performance as Veda. She is an unbelievable actress for her age, when she is coping with an unexpected loss she completely falls apart and it is one of the most honest depictions of mourning I have ever seen.
I love this film because it takes me back to my childhood when I thought everything was possible and when I learned the hardest lessons of life.
