Movie Review by Nick
August 14th, 2007

All Men Love Plastic, just ask Pam Anderson

In this follow-up to the 80's classic starring Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattral, the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Kristy Swanson, plays an 18th century peasant whose love for a prince gets her turned into a mannequin. Fast forward to the early 90's where the fashion is still heinous and stereotypes are in no short supply, the mannequin appears at a department store and lucky Jason Williamson (William Ragsdale of the Fright Night movies and the TV classic Herman's Head) discovers how to awaken the inner woman behind the plastic.

The movie follows the same plot structure as the first. Boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy fights bad guys
for girl's honor...Most of the time, this kind of predictability bores me but the cast keeps the movie from turning into another piece of filmed crap. Meshach Taylor (TV's Designing Women) is a scene stealer as the flamboyant Fashion designer (is there any other kind?) Hollywood Montrose. Every time he appears on screen, you are guaranteed at least one cheap laugh or two. Weekend at Bernie's Terry Kisser is also funny as an evil sorcerer trying to capture the mannequin. He makes the most out of his bad guy giving him a jumbled accent and a mole that characters can't help but be disgusted at.

The movie isn't perfect but it's not claiming to be...movie fluff is what I call the film. It's just fun to watch and doesn't carry any heart felt messages which makes the movie a lot more appealing.

I do like a bit of fluff every now and then, I loved this movie back in the day but I haven't watched it for ages.

Yeah, studios will release Kingdom of Heaven like 27 times under numerous edition titles but they won't give the time of day to an enjoyable film like this.

Yeah she makes me feel all naughty like when I used to climb the rope in gym class or when I look at porn.
