Movie Review by Terrence
May 12th, 2007

Don't miss a laugh!

"Spaced Invaders" is a film that came out in 1990 that may go unnoticed today, but was one of the funniest films I remember seeing around that time. Even now years later it still hold up to be a pretty funny sci-fi comedy.

A ship full of Maritians come to earth mistakenly after hearing a rebroadcast of the 1938 Orsonl Welles radio adaptation of "War of the Worlds". They aliens land in a small town who's residents are celebrating Halloween.

My personal favorite of the aliens is Blaznee who is voiced by Kevin Thompson who sounds like a poor mans Jack Nicholson. Something I've found out since the film first came out is that Kevin Thompson was also a midget so he was actually the guy in the costume which makes his performance all the more interesting and funny.

The other aliens include Dr. Ziplock, Captain Bipto, Pez, and Giggywig.

Now sure the movie is flawed by today's make-up and digital effects standards but it still works.
