Movie Review by Jarrod
September 4th, 2007

'Hard to Kill' is one of Steven Seagal's earliest and finest movies, where he introduced to us the type of character he almost always plays, a tough street cop, or a bad-ass military man, or a former government agent, or sometimes all three mixed together. Whatever. Here, he is Mason Storm, who catches on tape an aspiring politician named Vernon Trent (William Sadler) meeting with some mobsters. Storm only has Trent's voice, and catchphrase, which helps to identify him later. Storm's family is murdered by some of Trent's cronies. He lies in a coma for seven years, nursed back to health by Kelly LeBrock (who was Seagal's real-life wife).

He stays with her once he wakes up, and trains for revenge, while being reunited with his son, who has been under the safe care of an old friend. Lots of action, as you would expect, with gunplay and great hand-to-hand stuff, with Seagal emerging unscathed from most encounters, as he usually does. Sadler makes a good villain, whom we don't really meet until the end. Seagal's performance is decent, though he is still quite wooden most of the time, but he and LeBrock make a nice couple.

I always liked this one......good action and Kelly Le Brock is hott. What I didnt like was his annoying fruity kid.
