Delightfully weird

Getting less credit than it is owed due to the fact that there were so many well known young actors features, FLATLINERS is actually a great flick. Medical students who want to experience death, the group of friends go to extreme lengths to construct the process with which to do so.

Only problem is that dying becomes an obsession. Sutherland gives another one of his trademark creepy performances, hunting down the next section of death that he can find in hopes of discovering more about his past. Everyone involved has different reactions to the dying and being brought back to life, but it is Sutherland who takes his to a delicious extreme.

It's one of those films where you need to watch it. It needs to be in your memory banks to compare with some of the other thrillers that have been recently released. This is the way you're going to do it if you're going to make it flashy.

It seems so long ago that I watched this movie...and yet, I can still recall scenes pretty well from this flick. I freakin' love Sutherland in this one too! He's rocks the role as a creepy, obsessed med student trying to kill himself to remember his past! Funny, I remembered there was a girl, but I forgot that it was Julia Roberts...hmmm.
