| About Me: |
ABOUT MY RATINGS: I try to rate films objectively rather than subjectively. This means my rating has more to do with how good I thought the film was rather than how much I liked it. Like most people, I like some pretty bad films because subjectively they just appeal to me. For this reason, telling you how much I liked a film probably isn't as helpful as telling you how good I thought the film was. I use a 5-point rating system. This means you won't see any half points from me. I do this because rating film is hardly an exact science. Using a higher point system is simply an attempt at being more exact. Does telling you a movie rates 813 out of 1000 help you more than simply giving it 4 out 5 stars? In all cases a movie is either excellent, good, average, not-so-good, or just plain awful (hence the 5-points). There is no sense delving between the ratings unless you just want even more people to disagree with you. http://www.myspace.com/ash1138
