For starters, as the subject line says, I am a typical modern geek. Ask me who I think has the best chance of winning the Super Bowl, who got booted from Survivor last week, or which club in the city serves the best drinks, and I'll stare at you blankly. Ask me what the difference between 1080i and 1080p is, my interpretation of Tool lyrics, or whether or not it's better to watch Star Wars in chronological or release order, and I'll ask if you've got an hour to kill. I can't dance (unless DDR counts...which it doesn't), drinking solely for the purposes of getting drunk baffles me. I wouldn't necessarily call myself socially awkward as liking the world a lot simpler than a lot of people seem to need it to be. I'm better with people one on one rather than groups. I'm better at carrying conversations rather than starting them. I tend to get attached to people a lot quicker than common sense should allow me to. And yes...at the moment, I wouldn't exactly be a prime candidate for a half-naked billboard in Times Square. ....you're still here? Interesting. Everybody else made a run for it back at "Star Wars". OK, then....since you've made it this far...here's the upshot to all that..... I believe I'm still kind of a fun person to be around....I have a great sense of humor....again, I'm not so good at starting a conversation, but certainly adept at carrying one on just about anything....I'm intelligent, but not above being a big kid when the mood hits. I'm not really the judgemental type. I'm rational, patient, compassionate, caring, aaand...out of space. Damn.
